Tom and Alyssa went to Florida for the weekend. Tom's dad Oci and Marina were going to visit Marina's grand-daughter who is attending high school as an exchange student from Slovakia. Since Alyssa could fly free with Tom on Southwest, they decided to go for a mini vacation. The biggest excitement were the pets at the host family's house. Alyssa enjoyed playing around with two dogs and cat. They stayed near Fort Myers on the west side of Florida, just south of Tampa. Tom and Alyssa spent one day exploring the beach. The beaches were full of sea shells and the water was warm enough to take a swim. Alyssa also found a palm tree just her size.
