I was in Las Vegas for a conference and Tom surprised me by flying out to join me without the kids. Apparently he had been planning the surprise trip for nearly a month, booking the flight, approving extra vacation time with my boss and getting my parents to watch the kids. We stayed at The Cosmopolitan which open last year. Our balcony looked out at the fountains at Bellagio and the tower at Paris. We went to two evening shows and enjoyed some great food. On the last day we hiked at the nearby mountains and enjoyed some time by the pool. The two days away for Tom and I was perfect.
