Powell Gardens hosted a princess, pirates and forts exhibition for a few weekends in September. My parents joined us for an afternoon at the nature center, checking out the forts, playing in the water fountain and exploring the garden area. Nathan found dozens of caterpillars in the garden area and insisted on bringing a few home.
