The Lenexa parks and recreation department puts on a kids event each summer. The parks department places clues at each of the 25 Lenexa parks. Kids can then go to each of the parks, find the clue and record it on a map with a secret message. The timing is all summer to get the clues and turn in the message for a prize. It's a fun event that the kids look forward to each summer.
This is the second year that the Lenexa parks department has done this event. Last year, we actually won the grand prize which included passes to the pool, certificates for local eateries and other activities, and pool toys.
